Indefinite general strike in Biratnagar withdrawn

Biratnagar, May 6 . The indefinite general strike in Biratnagar called from today demanding declaring Biratnagar as the capital of state 1 has been withdrawn.
The strike was withdrawn after Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai expressed commitment to address the demand put forth by agitating side. Chief Minister Rai’s press advisor, Dhurva Subedi, said that the indefinite general strike was withdrawn after Chief Minister Rai and agitating side held discussion this afternoon.
Long and short route vehicle, schools and colleges remained closed from morning due to general strike while there was partial impact of general strike in the market.
