NTA, NRB agree to cooperate for effective mobile financial services

Kathmandu, April 21. Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) and Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) have signed an understanding, promising cooperation and coordination necessary for development and regulation of mobile financial services.
NRB governor Dr Chiranjibi Nepal and NTA acting chair Purushottam Khanal signed on the paper on behalf of their respective sides, said NTA Spokesperson Min Prasad Aryal. The document mentions the role and works of both organisations in order to make the development and regulation of mobile financial services more reliable and effective.
It also mentions the areas of collaboration and strategies for expected development. Moreover, a joint coordination committee has been formed to realize the commitments.
