World travel fair opens in Shanghai

SHANGHAI, April 18 . The 16th Shanghai World Travel Fair opened Thursday, attracting more than 750 exhibitors from 53 countries and regions.
Participants are expected to showcase new products and customized services to meet the demands of Chinese travelers during the four-day annual fair.
Interactive activities and booking discounts will also be offered on the site. More than 65,000 people will visit the exhibition this year, the organizer said.
China has one of the world’s largest number of outbound travelers. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 149.72 million outbound trips were made by Chinese tourists last year, up 14.7 percent from the previous year. Enditem
