Upper Naugad hydropower production in final stage
Darchula, April 18 . The under-construction upper Naugad second hydropower project has come to the final stage of its production.
The hydropower having the capacity of 8-MW has stepped up its preparation to produce electricity in coming one-and-a-half months.
The flood that occurred last year caused almost two months delay in the production function of the hydropower.
Madhusudan Koirala, in-charge of the hydropower project, said the task of Upper Naugad hydropower second being constructed by Api Power Company Limited is entering into the final stage.
“Almost all works related to penstock are over. Installation of machines inside power house and construction of tank are taking place”, he added.
First testing one would take place within this month (mid-May), Koirala shared, adding it would require two months to fully operate both. RSS
