NBA election: Pokharel leads in vote count

Kathmandu, April 3. Sunil Kunmar Pokharel, the candidate representing the greater democratic group, leads the vote count in the election held for a new leadership of Nepal Bar Association.
The NBA is an umbrella organisation of legal practitioners in the country. As of 9:20 pm, Pokharel was leading with 1,431 votes followed by Chandeswar Shrestha from the progressive group with 1,353 votes, according to chief returning officer Damodar Khadka.
The vote counting has been stalled and will resume from 9:00 am tomorrow. A total of 8,329 eligible members of the NBA had voted on Saturday for a new leadership of the Association. —
