Foreign Investment and Technology Transfer Bill passed
Kathmandu, March 22. The today’s meeting of the National Assembly has passed the ‘Foreign Investment and Technology Transfer Bill, 2075’, by a majority.
The upper house of the federal parliament rejected the amendment proposal on the bill presented by lawmaker Radheshyam Adhikari. He argued that the livelihood of Nepalis would be snatched away if the bill was passed in its current form without amending it, refusing to withdraw the amendment proposal.
Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav tabled the bill in the National Assembly. The bill was received from the House of Representatives, the lower house, with its message.
President of the Legislation Management Committee, Parshuram Meghi Gurung had presented a report on the ‘Advertisements (Regulation) Bill, 2075’ and the ‘Land Use Bill, 2075’ along with the message received from the House of Representatives.
The National Assembly will next meet at 11 am on March 24.
