Case filed against govt employees for embezzling allowance

Kathmandu, Jan 7 . The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed the charge sheet at the Special Court against three government employees including secretary of the then Dummana VDC in Bhojpur district.
The charge sheet was filed for their alleged involvement in fund embezzlement under the heading of social security allowance by releasing the funds in the name of those deceased and migrated ones.
According to the CIAA, the complaint was filed against the then VDC secretary Rewati Kumar Koirala, the then office assistants Tek Bahadur Shrestha and Manish Chaudhary for embezzling the social security allowance by submitting citizenships of the deceased.
Koirala was accused of embezzling Rs 83,000 while Shrestha and Chaudhary misused Rs 227,000 and Rs 250,000 respectively.
