‘Preparation to teach Chinese language in Nepali’s school education’

Kathmandu, Dec 5 . Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Girirajmani Pokharel, has said that preparation was underway to run Chinese language classes in Nepali schools.

At the fifth gathering of Nepali students who got their education in China, organised by Nepal-China Culture and Educational Council here on Wednesday, Minister Pokharel said that Nepali students have brought Nepal-China closer by pursuing their education in China.

He further said that the role of Nepali students who returned home after pursuing education in China would be significant to fulfill government’s slogan ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali’.

Education Minister also thanked the Chinese government for its support in reconstruction of schools, damaged by Gorkha earthquake.

Similarly, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Yu Hong, said the gathering has brought Nepali and Chinese students closer, suggesting to organise such gathering in days ahead too. Around 7,000 Nepali students are now pursuing higher education in China.
