Lack of employees and budget affects services
Taplejung, July 27 . Lack of employees and minimal amount of budget have affected services of different offices in Taplejung district.
Office chiefs said so while presenting progress report of their respective offices at an annual review seminar organised by the District Coordination Committee on Thursday.
On the occasion, Chief of Cottage and Small Industries Development Committee, Sunil Acharya, said that they faced difficulties to carry out works as per the target due to minimal amount of budget and insufficient number of employees.
Similarly, Engineer at Road Division Office, Harij Alam, complained that the most of the projects were not completed on time due to limited budget.
He further said that they failed to meet the target as limited number of employees has to look after all activities and in lack of budget.
The Office Chiefs also said that some of the projects even faced policy-level obstacles.
Narahari Bhandari of the District Coordination Committee said that out of Rs 1.40 billion budget allocated in the fiscal year 2017/18, Rs 638 million has frozen.
