Aftershock recorded in Dhading
Kathmandu, July 24 . An aftershock of the Gorkha Earthquake with its epicentre around Gajuri of Dhading district was felt this morning.
The magnitude 4.8 tremor occurred at 8.30 am today, the National Seismological Centre stated. Centre’s chief, Lok Bijaya Adhikari said that the epicentre of the latest Gorkha earthquake was located around Gajuri in Dhading.
Before this, an aftershock measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale and with its epicentre around Jharlang of Dhading was recorded by the Centre on July 5. Another aftershock measuring 5 on the Richter scale and with epicentre around Sunaulo Bazar, Dhading was recorded on June 28.
According to chief seismologist Adhikari, 505 aftershocks measuring 4 or above have occurred so far since the Gorkha Earthquake (7.6 Richter scale) of April 25, 2015.
