Home Minister pledges security for industrial sector

Chitwan, April 23 Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the current time is for nation’s development and prosperity.
Inaugurating the 19th General Assembly of Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Tandi today, the Minister insisted on the need of revising acts and laws causing hindrances to development and prosperity and making the country’s economy self-sufficient.
Discipline, control of crime, corruption, cross-border illegal activities, organised crime are essential to have development in the nation, according to the Home Minister who sees the need of adopting a zero-tolerance policy against corruption.
On the occasion, he called from ending syndicate in every sector. He pledged to ensure security in the industrial sector, terming the donation spree as a crime for the society.
Vice President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce Industry, Kishore Kumar Pradhan, demanded the government take measures to create employment opportunities within the country so as to provide a ground for young generation to seek career at home. “It is a matter of concern that around 1,500 youths leaves the country every day in search of foreign employment.”
