Baahubali creates history with opening day collections

New Delhi, July-12 Baahubali has not just become the biggest opener of the year, but has also recorded the highest first day collections ever.

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus grabbed eyeballs with its first trailer and since then the fans have been waiting with bated breath to watch the most-anticipated film of the year. And, within a day of its release, Baahubali has set the cash registers on fire by creating history. The film has not just become the biggest opener of the year, but has also recorded the highest first day collections ever.

The film has not just managed to wow audiences and critics, but the multi-lingual film has also been able to pull the audiences to the theatres. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the first day collection of the film.

Baahubali has made been made in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously and the film has been dubbed in Hindi too. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has bought the rights of the film in Hindi. Baahubali has not just received a phenomenal response down South, but the Hindi version has also minted moolah at the box office on its opening day.

The epic war drama inspired from Mahabharata has caught the fancy of the fans with its visual appeal. Released across 4000 screens, Baahubali has made history with its first day collections. The film stars Rana Daggubati, Prabhas, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. It hit the screens on July 10.
