IP camera to check criminal activities in border area

Mangalbare, Jan 14 – The police have initiated round-the-clock security monitoring in border areas of Ilam and Jhapa along the Mechi Highway through Internet Protocol.
The move has come in an effort to check robbery by criminal groups in the area.
More than 300 transport vehicles move to and from Panchthar, Taplejung, Jhapa and Kathmandu via Ilam every day.

The IP cameras have been installed to curb criminal activities in the area and provide security to tourists coming to Ilam, said Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Bhim Bahadur Dahal.
