Television set up for the first time in Dhaulagiri

Baglung, Oct 5 – The Dhaulagiri Television set up for the first time in Dhaulagiri zone has conducted a test transmission today.
The television set up by the Dhaulagiri Television Pvt would run for four hours a day. Chairman of the Television, Raj Kumar Shrestha, said the television would run from 7 to 9 in the morning and at the same period in the evening.
The television brought to transmission as a cable television would have regular programmes and broadcasting after successful test transmission, he added. It would broadcast news for two times a day.
Chairman Shrestha further said, "We have aimed at building informed society by indentifying the local resources."
The television is set up with the investment from local businesspersons, intellectuals and professional organizations.
The television having its studio at Loktantrik Chowk of Baglung district can be viewed from Baglung, Parbat, Myagdi and other districts of Dahaulagiri zone.
