Nokia 6-inch phablet’s press image leaked

New Delhi, Sep 7 – While the sale of Nokia's mobile business to Microsoft has made headlines across the world, the tech industry is keen on finding about the devices that the company will launch under new management. The manufacturer is said to be working on at least a couple of smartphones as well as tablets, going by previous leaks. And now, a press shot of the company's biggest-ever smartphone has appeared on the internet.

A Twitter user named EVLeaks, who has a stellar record in leaking smartphones and tablets, has leaked the press image of the upcoming Lumia 1520, which is said to have a 6-inch screen. This will be the largest smartphone in Nokia's portfolio, whose current biggest smartphone has a 4.7-inch display. The Lumia 1520 is said to be a top-end device, with features like a full HD screen, quad-core processor and 20MP rear camera.

The alleged press shot of the Nokia Lumia 1520, which is being developed under the codename Bandit, shows the front and rear portions of the device. This is the third leaked image of the Lumia 1520 and a Weibo user has claimed that the device is already under production in China.

It is expected that Nokia will hold an event in New York on September 26, where it will showcase the Lumia 1520.

Nokia is also said to be working on a phone with 5.2-inch screen and two tablets.

HTC and Apple are also said to be working on smartphones with 6-inch screens. The likes of Samsung, Sony and Huawei already have phones with screens measuring 6-inch or more.
