Jhamak Ghimire honored with “Yuwa Prativa Puraskar”

Kathmandu, August 12 – Jhamak Kumari Ghimire, a handicapped Nepali writer has been awarded the prestigious "Yuwa Prativa Puraskar" for the year 2070.
Nepal government, on the occasion of International Youth Day honoured Jhamak Ghimire with Rs one lakhs. Ghimire was also awarded for her autobiography “Jeewan Kaada ki Ful” the Madan Puraskar for the year 2067 BS.
The awarded professionals along with Jhamak includes Radha Poudel from social service sector, Bed prakash Sapkota for his contribution in agriculture, Sanjog Aachrya for his effort in tourism and development journalism. The honor for literature and art has been provided to Rastriya Yuva Sewa Kosh.
The cash prize for Yuwa Prativa Puraskar is set to be Rs.1 lakh.
Likewise Paras Khadka, captain of National Cricket team and Jamuna Gurung, captain of National women foorball team have also been included for the honour. Sunil lama from karate and Chana Bamjan from Ushu have been also honoured by the prestigious award.
