8 members of a family dead in Pak boat capsize

Hyderabad, August 09 – At least eight people, all from the same family, drowned when their fishing boat capsized in a lake in Pakistan's Sindh province on.
Deputy Commissioner of Tando Allahyar district, Agha Rahim Pathan, said that the family which drowned included two women and two children. "It was a small boat and the family belonging to Tando Allahyar had gone on a fishing trip when their boat lost balance and capsized," he said.
Rescue officials however said that two other people on the boat had managed to swim to safety. But they conceded that in the absence of any rescuers or other arrangements the eight members drowned within minutes as there was no one to help them. Locals reached the spot and recovered the bodies of the victims.
