Indian stocks close higher

Mumbai, July 24 – The benchmark index of the Indian equities market closed higher on Tuesday with the 30-scrip sensitive index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, closing at 20,302.13 points, 143.01 points or 0.71 percent up from the previous close of 20,159.12 points. The Sensex had a turnover of 4.50 billion rupees (about 75.03 million U.S. dollars).
