Barfi loots 14 awards in IIFA
New Delhi, July 8 – On the 14th International Indian Film Academy Awards movie Barfi (film of Disney-UTV) has won 14 awards.
Barfi! is a 2012 Indian romantic comedy-drama film directed, written and co-produced by Anurag Basu. The film – which was India's 2012 Oscar entry – picked up best actor (Ranbir Kapoor), best director (Anurag Basu), best film and best music (Pritam), among its total haul of 14 trophies.
Held ever year in a different location outside India, IIFA is organized by Mumbai-based event management company Wizcraft Entertainment.
This was the second time the awards returned to Macau (after 2009) with the event held at the Venetian Macao-Resort Hotel owned by Sheldon Adelson's Las Vegas Sands.
