NASA tracking large asteroid near Earth

NASA is tracking a large near-Earth asteroid as it passes by the Earth-Moon system on May 31. Amateur astronomers in the northern hemisphere may be able to see the space rock for themselves during the 1st week of June.
The larger 1.7 mile-wide rock named Asteroid 1998 QE2 will be the closest to Earth on Friday at 4.59 pm EDT. Don't worry, though. It will still be 3.6 million miles away.
