Lumia 925 now on India site

New Delhi, May 26 – Nokia has slashed the price of its Lumia 920 flagship smartphone in India, barely a week after it introduced the Lumia 925 globally. Lumia 920 was launched in the country in January this year at Rs 38,199, but can now be purchased at Rs 32,639 from the Finnish manufacturer's partner website.

 

The company is also offering a free wireless charger, priced at Rs 3,000, with the handset. Major online retailers are selling the device for Rs 31,999, bundled with the free wireless charger.

 

The newly announced Lumia 925 has also made an appearance on the official Nokia India website. India was not listed among the first wave of countries to get the smartphone at the launch event. This phone will be priced at 469 euros (before taxes) internationally, while its India price has not yet been revealed.

 

Nokia Lumia 920's highlighting feature is its 8.7MP camera that can take photos and videos under any lighting condition and comes with Optical Image Stabilisation and dual LED flash. Nokia Lumia 920's rear snapper has resolution of 1280×960 pixels and 2.0f aperture. The phone also has a 1.3MP front camera for video calls.

 

Lumia 920 boasts of a 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ touchscreen and runs on a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. Connectivity options in the phone include Wi-Fi, 4G, 3G, NFC, 2G, Bluetooth 3.0 and microUSB 2.0. Available with 1GB RAM and 2,000mAh battery, the Lumia 920 has internal memory of 32GB but does not support microSD card.

 

Lumia 925 features a better camera than Lumia 920 and comes with Carl Zeiss lens and aluminium body. The two phones share most hardware specifications, though the former weighs 139gram as compared to 185gram of the latter.
