Saudi Multi investment sector gains 1.16%

Menafn, May 23 – The Saudi stock market recorded nominal gains yesterday, as the Tadawul All-Share Index (TASI) closed higher to 7,363.13, adding 7.86 points or 0.11 percent for the entire day.

 

It traded within a range of 28.9 points, moving 19 points up and 9.9 points below the level of opening bell yesterday.

 

All market cap indices showed a positive change for the day.

 

Nine out of Tadawul's fifteen sectors finished to the upside, accumulating nearly two hundred points.

 

Multi-Investment outdid rest of the sectors, advancing 1.16 percent to close at 3,463.90. Real Estate sector followed it, increasing by 0.64 percent.

On the negative side, six sectors including Transport (-0.65 percent) – the biggest decliner of the day – went downward, trimming an aggregate of 85.3 points.

 

The total number of rising stocks exceeded to the total number of falling stocks by a slight margin of 65 to 62 and the prices of 29 companies remained unchanged.

 

Allied Cooperative Insurance Group remained at top position among all Saudi equities, surging by 7.44 percent and closing at SR39.

 

Kingdom Holding came out as key gainer among heavyweight equities, reflecting an increment of 2.9 percent to SR17.7.

 

Tadawul volume went slightly down by 1.53 percent and traded 246.4 million shares as compared to previous day's 250.2 million shares. But still it was 13.3 percent greater than 50-day average of 217.4 million shares.

 

Dar Alarkan Real Estate regained its most active status yesterday, liquidating 43.8 million shares and achieving a relative market share of 17.8 percent.

 

Atheeb Telecom turned in a splendid performance among most active stocks, rising 5.42 percent and capturing over ten percent of the overall market volume.Menafn
