Fast charging station for EVs comes into operation in Nawalparasi
This is the only charging facility along the 114-km Narayangadh-Butwal road section.

NAWALPARASI, FEBRUARY 11: A fast charging station for electric vehicles (EVs) has been brought into operation at Kawasoti-11 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta East).
The station, which can charge five small and large vehicles simultaneously, has been set up by local entrepreneur Bishnu Adhikari with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA). The total investment in the project stands at Rs 10 million.
Adhikari also plans to establish a refreshment center for drivers, ensuring a more comfortable charging experience. The station operates 24/7, making it the only charging facility along the 114-km Narayangadh-Butwal road section.
On average, the station can charge 50 vehicles per day, but progress has been affected by delays in the Narayangadh-Butwal road expansion project. Once the expansion is completed, the facility plans to add 10 more nozzles to accommodate increasing demand.
