New showroom of Deepal in Chauthe of Pokhara

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24:MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the official distributor of Changan and Deepal EVs in Nepal, has inaugurated a new Deepal showroom in Chauthe, Pokhara. Established in collaboration with Himalaya Organization, the showroom aims to provide customers in the Gandaki region with a firsthand experience of Deepal’s intelligent and futuristic EVs.

The inauguration ceremony held yesterday was attended by Gandaki Province’s Minister for Social Development, Youth, and Sports, Bindu Kumar Thapa; Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) President, Karan Chaudhary; Himalaya Organization Chairman, Dhruva Thapa; and MAW Group Consultant, Sandip Chatterjee. On the same occasion, the world's first transformer SUV, the Deepal E-7, was also regionally launched.

To mark the showroom’s opening, MAW Vriddhi has also introduced a five-day test drive and exchange camp starting from March 1. During this period, EV enthusiasts in the Gandaki region can test drive Deepal’s latest models, including the Deepal E-7, Deepal S-7, and Deepal L-7.

The "Test Drive the Future" campaign offers customers free diamond coating, a complimentary 7kW charger with accessories, attractive cash discounts, the best valuation for old vehicles from Top Recondition House, and an exchange bonus. Additionally, all participants in the Deepal EV test drive will receive a special gift from the brand.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Bindu Kumar Thapa emphasized the equal importance of sales, service, and spare parts in the automobile industry, highlighting the significance of spare parts availability and pricing.

NADA President Karan Chaudhary noted that Nepal has made significant progress in electrification, with 72 percent of total vehicle imports now being EVs. He added that Deepal has been performing well in Nepal and has gained customers’ trust, offering a design and performance that align with the preferences of the Pokhara market.

Deepal EVs come equipped with over 15 first-time features, including a welcome seat, sunflower touchscreen, augmented reality head-up display, gesture control, headrest speakers, and outdoor speakers. With these innovations, Deepal is said to have already sold more than 700 units in the Nepali market.
