NEPSE goes up by over 3 points

Daily average transaction amount surpasses NPR 10 billion.

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 24: The upward trend of the stock market, which has been rising continuously since last week, continued today also. The NEPSE index increased by 3.35 points. As the market gained momentum, the daily average transaction amount also started exceeding NPR 10 billion.

On Monday, the benchmark index rose by 3.35 points to close at 2,758.75 points. The total trading volume reached NPR 11.08 billion, with 21,110,619 shares changing hands.

Himalayan Reinsurance recorded the highest transaction value, with shares worth NPR 893.54 million traded. Based on transaction volume, Nepal Reinsurance Company ranked second, with shares worth NPR 806.7 million traded.

Among the 13 sub-indices, 4 recorded gains, while 9 declined. The "Others" sub-index saw the highest growth, rising by 2.50%. Similarly, the Investment and Manufacturing & Processing sub-indices increased by approximately 1%. Meanwhile, the Finance sub-index recorded the steepest decline, dropping by 1.21 points.

Guardian Micro Life Insurance’s shares continued to hit the positive circuit level on Monday also. The company’s stock has been trading at the upper circuit level for 11 consecutive sessions.

Likewise, the share price of Rapti Hydro & General Construction surged by 9.5%, while Bottlers Nepal's stock rose by 8%. In contrast, Win Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha saw the highest decline, with its share price dropping by 10%.
