Micro non-life insurance companies record transactions over Rs 500 million

KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 25 : In the first seven months of the current fiscal year, micro non-life insurance companies have conducted business worth over Rs 500 million. By the end of Magh (mid-January to mid-February), four micro non-life insurance companies recorded transactions exceeding Rs 502.8 million.
During this period, these companies issued a total of 202,248 insurance policies, according to the Nepal Insurance Authority. Among them, 31,777 policies were issued in Magh alone.
Nepal Micro Insurance led in business volume by the end of Magh, with transactions worth Rs 146.8 million. The company sold 58,117 insurance policies over seven months.
Protective Micro Insurance collected Rs 124.9 million in premiums, selling 47,679 policies, as per the authority’s data.
Star Micro Insurance issued 52,837 policies, generating Rs 116.6 million in premiums, while Trust Micro Insurance sold 41,600 policies, accumulating Rs 114.3 million in premiums.
