Maoist Centre objects to decision to remove Ghising from NEA

KATHMANDU, MARCH 26: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has protested the government's decision to remove Kulman Ghising from his position as Executive Director of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

In a press release issued YESTERday, party vice-president and spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota urged the government to revoke its decision.

"The decision is intended to create psychological fear among competent administrators who perform their duties with honesty and integrity. Our party strongly demands its immediate withdrawal," the statement read.

The CPN (Maoist Centre) also condemned what it described as a deliberate propaganda campaign against the party in connection with Ghising’s removal.

"The party rejects the false narrative linking our president to the agreement on the Commission for the Investigation of Enforced Disappearances and the formation of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission," the statement added.

Furthermore, the party warned against being misled by such propaganda and called for an immediate end to its circulation.
