Arrest warrant issued against 20 people, including former officials of Bal Mandir

KATHMANDU, MAY 10: An arrest warrant has been issued against 20 individuals, including former officials of Bal Mandir, in connection with the embezzlement of land belonging to the charity for children.
The spokesperson at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, SP Hovindra Bogati, informed that the arrest warrant was issued yesterday after obtaining permission from the District Court of Kathmandu. This action was taken as the former officials of the charity and members of business houses were found to be using the charity’s land for business purposes.
SP Bogati further stated that a complaint was lodged at CIB against the individuals involved in the land dispute of Bal Mandir on Thursday. They have been accused of causing financial loss to the charity by leasing the land at a low cost. Additionally, the lease contract was renewed clandestinely.
