During her address at a reception held here yesterday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the European Union, Ambassador Lorenzo stated that the second meeting of the forum is scheduled for May 15-16 in Kathmandu, focusing on addressing Nepal’s foreign investment deficit.
She mentioned that companies from EU countries will participate in the meeting to discuss potential investment opportunities in Nepal. Furthermore, the Ambassador emphasized Nepal’s pursuit of upgrading from the list of least developed countries by 2026 and stressed the necessity of fostering economic development and employment opportunities to achieve this goal.
