Terminate contracts of those who don’t complete on time, DPM Mahaseth directs

KATHMANDU, MARCH 21: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth has directed the authorities concerned to terminate the contract with the construction companies that fail to complete the work within the specified time.
Speaking at the annual gathering of various offices under his ministry in Nepalgunj yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Mahaseth said that the government is concerned about the delays in various development projects and will work to prevent any more delays henceforth. “The government has given priority to economic development, so there should be no delay in the construction work”, Mahaseth said.
He also urged the employees to work with full confidence. Heads of various projects and offices under the ministry in Pyuthan, Dang, Banke and Karnali of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Province attended the event.
