Gold continues to glitter more
KATHMANDU, MARCH 6: The price of gold, which hit a record high yesterday, has continued to surge in the market. Today, the yellow metal is being traded at Rs 123,500 per tola, up by Rs 500 compared to Tuesday.
The market value of gold, which was Rs 116,500 per tola on February 15, has surged by Rs 7,000 within 20 days. The Federation of Nepal Gold, Siver Gem and Jewellery Dealers Association (FENEGODISA) attributes this to a steep, rapid rise in the price hike of gold in the international bullion market. The gold price hit a three-month high of $2,113.28 per ounce on Monday and on Tuesday it increased to & 2126 dollar per ounce.
According to experts, the current global economic uncertainties and geopolitical tensions are mainly responsible for the surging price of the precous metal.
Menwhile, the price of silver has decreased by Rs 5 per tola and reached Rs 1,440 per tola.
