npNOG holding its 9th workshop in Chitwan from Jan 28 to Feb 1

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 9: The Nepal Network Operators’ Group (npNOG) has the upcoming 9th edition of its workshop, scheduled to take place in Chitwan from January 28th to February 1st, 2024. This  5-day event will feature a workshop at Sauraha, Chitwan. We anticipate the participation of diverse individuals from the ICT industry, IT colleges, and other related sectors.

npNOG is a community of network professionals and operators in Nepal, specializing in system and network operations. Over the preceding years, the group has been making a substantial impact in the field through training and professional development initiatives, aimed at enhancing the ICT skills of individuals in Network Essentials. Facilitated by experienced network professionals from Nepal and beyond, these workshops will provide valuable knowledge and hands-on experience for ICT professionals and computer engineering students who want to pursue a career in the ICT industry. Additionally, the workshops aim to address the country’s need for highly skilled technical human resources, aligning with the priorities set by the Nepal government.

The event is co-hosted by the Internet Exchange of Nepal (npIX) and is supported by the Nepal Government, Nepal Telecom Authority, Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN), ISP Association of Nepal (ISPAN), and International communities.

In recognition of the important contributions made by NPIX, NREN, and ISPAN, the organizer has offered a 15% discount on registration fees for their members until 24th January 2024. Moreover, to facilitate deserving candidates attending the event, special fellowships are also offered, of which 50% of the total number has been reserved for female candidates to encourage their representation in the ICT industry.
