Daraz concludes “11.11 Biggest Sale of the Year”

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 4: Daraz, the leading e-commerce platform in the country, has recently concluded its 11.11 Biggest Sale of the Year, serving over 5 million consumers across Nepal.
“ This year, staples such as oil and ghee were among the top-selling products, and consumers enjoyed substantial savings on their purchases,” states a press release issued by the company.
Similarly, the platform is said to have facilitated sales for 19,000 brands and sellers. From offering onboarding workshops to rolling out new co-funded programs that aim at lowering sellers’ cost of doing business, sellers on Daraz saw a 46-times growth in sales during the 11.11 sale compared to the non-campaign period and made a new record this year with 500 orders made in the first 19 minutes of the campaign, according to the release.
Likewise. Daraz expanded its delivery network to cover more locations in Nepal and, as a result, achieved over 600% growth in shoppers outside Kathmandu Valley on 11.11 this year. “Together with the support of logistics partners that employed over 800 riders, Daraz expanded its delivery coverage to connect more sellers to buyers across the nation, covering as far as 522 kilometers for its furthest package delivery from Kathmandu to Mahendranagar Bazar,” the release states.
