128 people died in the earthquake, more than 140 injured

Jajarkot, Nov 4: 93 people died in Jajarkot and 36 in Rukum due to the earthquake that happened on Friday night. DIG Kuwer Kadayat, Central Spokesperson of Nepal Police, informed aarthikNews that 55 people were injured.The earthquake has severely hit Bheri, Nalgad, Kushe, Barekot and Chedagad in the district.
All the security forces in the district have been mobilized in the search and rescue work, said CDO Sunar. Among the dead also includes Deputy Mayor of Nalgad Municipality Sarita Singh, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police of Jajarkot Santosh Rokka. An earthquake measuring 6.4 in the Richter scale occurred at 11:47 pm on Friday, with Ramidanda of Jajarkot as the epicenter.
