BHUTAN AIRLINES ANNOUNCES RESUMPTION OF FLIGHTSFROM16 SEPTEMBER

kathmandu, Sept 5. Bhutan Airlines (B3) – Bhutan’s first private airline headquartered in Thimphu, represented in Nepal bySocietyInternationalTravelServices as the official General Sales Agent (GSA)has announced the resumption of scheduled flights from the 16th of September, 2023 with 4 weekly flights on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Bhutan Airways flights will resume flights on the route: Paro – Kathmandu – Delhi and vice versa.

Through this resumption of scheduled flights, Bhutan Airlines will resume its operations in Kathmandu, NepalwhichhadbeenhaltedduetotheglobalCOVID-19Pandemic.WithBhutan Airlines operations, the airline intends to opportunity the Airline’s service and facilities towards the Nepalese people in line with the Airline’s continuous commitment to boost tourism and boost connectivity to and from “Bhutan – the land of the thunder dragon”.

PEMA NADIK, Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Airlines expressed his happiness at their consumption of Bhutan operations, Nepal and stated”As a private airline operating in a difficult environment and slowly trying to recover from the ravages of the Covid pandemic, we have in the past had to take certain commercial decisions to withdraw or divert the flights to minimize losses. We regretfully acknowledge that this may have caused inconveniences to our clients but more importantly, it has damaged our reputation raising valid questions on the reliability of our flight schedules. Acknowledging this fact, we have of late been maintaining our flight schedule despite poor loads and huge losses hoping to regain market confidence.
