Every year, numerous automobiles (Bikes) hit the Indian market some of them end up vanishing without being noticed while some of them make remarkable sale in the automobile biz. This year TVS Raider led the sales chart of the Indian market under the two-wheeler segment.
New model motorcycles were eligible to participate in the award. No matter where the bikes were originated, they had to be assembled or manufactured within India and had to be showcased in showrooms between 1 December 2020 and 30 November 2021 to participate in the award.
The titleholder of the award was announced based on jury vote, each jury member had 25 points and they had to allot points to at least 5 participating motorcycles and could not allot more than 10 points to a bike. A very fair and transparent system makes IMOTY the most credible auto award in India.
IMOTY was initiated back in 2007 when senior and prominent automobile journalists from all across India gathered and decide to start the Indian Motorcycle of the Year (IMOTY) award.
The highly experienced jury members are responsible for selecting a single decisive winner (independent judgment of the best new motorcycle), and the voting process has been designed to be very fair transparent.
