KATHMANDU, MAY 1: The Embassy of Nepal in Islamabad has issued a plea urging individuals to pursue legal means for foreign employment. This comes in response to reports of Nepali citizens being victimized and left stranded in Kyrgyzstan after being lured by enticing job offers.

According to the embassy, some of the victims have been promised transportation to other countries via Kyrgyzstan, while efforts are underway to repatriate those stranded back to Nepal. Despite ongoing rescue efforts, the process of individuals being duped and left stranded has not ceased.

In a statement released yesterday, the embassy expressed concern over fraudulent activities promising lucrative jobs. It warned that individuals and groups involved in such illegal practices will be held accountable under the law.

“The embassy earnestly requests all concerned parties to avoid falling victim to fraudulent schemes and to only utilize the established legal channels provided by the Government of Nepal for foreign employment opportunities,” the statement reads.
