Nepal SBI Bank provides financial support to control COVID 19

Kathmandu, May 6. SBI Bank Ltd. has granted a financial contribution of Rs. 100.00 lacs to help control the pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 in Nepal.
Out of the said amount, a cheque of Rs. 50.00 lacs has been handed over to Mr. Lekhraj Bhatta, Hon. Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies by Mr. Anukool Bhatnagar, MD & CEO towards Corona Virus Infected Prevention, Control and Treatment Fund established by Government of Nepal to prevent and control of COVID-19 amidst a program organized today at Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Singhadurbar.
Mr. Motilal Dugad, Hon. State Minister of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, other high level government officials and senior management team of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd. including Mr. Subhakanta Kanungo, Dy. CEO & COO, Mr. Md. Rizwan Alam, CFO, Mr. Chhapi Raj Pant, CBDO showed their presence in the program. Further, Rs. 5.00 lacs each has already been provided to all the 7 Provincial Governments and Rs. 15.00 lacs has been spent by the Bank for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in various parts of the country.
The Bank has been providing similar support to the government and other needy people / organizations as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Amidst the current lockdown imposed, the bank has been providing the banking facilities to the needy through different branches across Nepal.
