Nepal SBI Bank Launch Product for Migrant Workers

Janakpur, Jan 31. Nepal SBI Bank Limited launched a new saving and loan product targeted towards migrant workers and their family members in Province 2. The products will be available in 4 branches of Nepal SBI Bank Ltd, viz: Bardibas, Janakpur, Lahan & Mirchaiya.

The products were launched jointly by Hon. Mr. Mohammad Lalbabu Raut, Chief Minister of Province 2, Mr. Ram Krishna Subedi, Chief Secretary, Office of the Chief Minister, Province 2, Mr. Prem Kumar Shrestha, Secretary, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Province 2, Mr. Rob Clark, Private Sector Development Advisor, DFID, Mr. Baljit Vohra, Senior Vice President, Economic and Institutional Development, Louis Berger and Mr. Anukool Bhatnagar, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Nepal SBI Bank Ltd amidst a function organized at Janakpur.

The Hon Chief Minister of Province 2 distributed loan sanction letters to many customers and addressed the gathering wherein about 100 potential migrant workers were present.

Nepal SBI Bank Ltd has been working in close coordination with Province 2 Government and DFID funded UKaid Skills for Employment Programme for providing banking facilities to migrant workers, their family members and returnee migrants of Dhanusha, Mahottari and Siraha districts of Province 2.
