Electric buses to be operated in seven states

Kathmandu, May 4 . The government has forwarded a policy to operate the electric city buses in the major cities of the seven States across the country.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari mentioned it while presenting the government’s policies and programmes of the fiscal year 2019/20 in a joint session of the federal parliament on Friday.
The electric vehicles will be effective means of transportation for clean environment and to reduce increasing air pollution in the cities. These vehicles would be operated in coordination with all three-tiers of government and public participation.
