‘Base created for double digit economic growth’
Kathmandu, May 3. President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said the incumbent government has created a basis for double digit economic growth to ensure prosperity.
Presenting government’s policies and programmes for the coming fiscal year 2019/20 at the federal parliament meeting on Friday, she said a model of integrated national statistics was prepared and international relations developed and investment-friendly environment created from investment summit and high-level visits of different countries including China.
National integrity and unity have been strengthened, notable works in reconstruction task made; 1,000 km roads blacktopped, 300 more bridges constructed, model of digital Nepal prepared and Prime Minister Employment programme run after the formation of the incumbent government, read the policies and programmes.
Housing facilities have been ensured to people, process for establishment of technical college begun, 1.6 million people incorporated in health insurance scheme and technical works of railways linking Nepal and India completed, the President mentioned while presenting the policies and programmes.
