Nepal to launch satellite on April 17

Lalitpur, March 4 . The Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) is going to launch a satellite on April 17. The satellite was developed with the support of Kyutech University of Japan and has been named ‘NepaliSat-1’, which is a first of its kind for Nepal.
NAST Vice-Chancellor, Sanobabu Shrestha, said that preparations were underway to set up the satellite some 400 kilometres above the sky.
