NRB to sell treasury notes worth four billion rupees

Kathmandu, Oct 29. Nepal Rastra Bank is to issue Treasury bill worth Rs. Four billion on Tuesday.
The central bank will be issuing treasury notes worth Rs Two billion with a maturity period of 91 days and another two billion rupees worth of notes for a period of one year, according to a notice issued here today.
The 91-day treasury bill will mature in the third week of coming January while the 12-months bill in October next year. The treasury bill are normally maturity promissory note issued by a government as a primary instrument for regulating money supply and raising funds via open market operations.
