Indra jatra festival hits Ktm

Kathmandu, Sep 18 – Indra jatra festival has begun in Kathmandu valley. On the first day of procession, the chariot is pulled through a route starting from Basantapur to Jaisedewal, Lagan, Bramha Tole, Bhimsen Than and back to Basantapur.

 

People from all over Nepal who live in Kathmandu have gathered at Hanuman Dhoka and are making a preparation to take a chariot around the town.

 

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav is scheduled to leave for Basantapur Durbar Square to observe Indra Jatra here in the Capital on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 pm today at Basantapur Durbar Square.
