Anjelina to receive honorary Oscar award
USA, Sep 6 – Angelina Jolie, will receive the honorary 'Governors Awards' on November 16, as it kicks off the Oscar season.
The awards are Oscar statuettes, which are given to those in film who have made significant contributions to the industry through their body of work, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Jolie, who is the youngest of the four recipients, would receive this honour for her directorial debut 'In the Land of Blood and Honey,' and her humanitarian work.
The 38-year-old actress has won an Oscar for her role in 1999's 'Girl, Interrupted.'
The other recipients of the honorary award include comedy actor Steve Martin, Angela Lansbury and costume designer Piero Tosi.
The honorary Governors Awards are presented ahead of the Academy Awards, which will be held on March 2, 2014.
