Gold price reaches Rs 149,900 per tola

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 2: The price of gold in the domestic market has reached an all-time high today, with hallmark gold being fixed at Rs 149,900 per tola (11.66 grams), according to the Federation of Gold and Silver Dealers' Association. This surpasses the previous high of Rs 149,800 per tola recorded on July 17. On Thursday, gold was traded at Rs 149,400 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver has also increased, currently being traded at Rs 1,795 per tola compared to Rs 1,750 per tola on Thursday.
