Motihari-Amlekhgunj petroleum pipeline project in final stage

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 2: The second phase of the Motihari-Bara-Amlekhgunj Petroleum Pipeline Project has reached the final stage of completion. The project is being carried out as part of Nepal-India cooperation.

The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has stated that 90 percent of the project's work is finished. The Chief of the Madhes Province Office of the NOC, Binitmani Upadhyay, said the remaining tasks of the project will be completed in two months, adding that two tanks with a capacity of 4,001 kiloliters have been prepared and the task of laying the pipeline has reached its final phase.

The government of Nepal has invested Rs 1.54 billion, with an additional Rs 600 million from the Indian government for the project.
