Koshi Province looking to host investment conference

MORANG, AUGUST 16: Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki of Koshi Province announced that an investment conference will be organized in the province this year. At an interaction program with industrialists, traders, and the business community of Biratnagar yesterday, marking 100 days since the formation of his government, the Chief Minister stated that both domestic and foreign investors from neighbouring countries would be encouraged to invest in Nepal.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Karki pledged to provide 650 bighas of land at Amduba in Barju Rural Municipality, Sunsari, if the private sector is ready to establish industries.
Furthermore, Karki emphasized that efforts will be made in collaboration with the private sector to attract more tourists to the province through promotional events in two neighbouring countries.
