Adverse weather affects domestic flights at TIA

The adverse weather conditions at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have significantly impacted domestic flights, especially to Pokhara and Bharatpur. Due to low visibility, flights to other domestic airports in hilly regions are also generally disrupted. However, international flights are continuing as scheduled.
. Buddha Air has said that they are waiting for visibility to improve to resume operations in the affected areas.
The disruption is primarily due to the influence of the monsoon wind across the country, with the monsoon trough currently positioned slightly north of its usual location. This has caused partial to general rainfall across Nepal, with heavy rainfall expected in Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, and possibly in other provinces as well.
