FNCCI to work for development of start-up entrepreneurship

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 22: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has announced an investment in the development of start-up entrepreneurship. During the inaugural session of the "Startup Nation 2030" event held yesterday, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal revealed that an investment company with a capital of Rs 10 billion has been established under the FNCCI's initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
He stated that the company will operate as an autonomous entity and will have the ability to invest in any company. The FNCCI president emphasized the importance of both foreign direct investment and domestic investment for the economic development and prosperity of the nation. He noted that the company was set up through institutional investment.
Dhakal also called for creating an enabling environment to promote start-up businesses and support new entrepreneurs, proposing the establishment of an Incubation Centre and an Innovation Centre targeting youth.
Additionally, he mentioned that the FNCCI, in collaboration with the Sudurpaschim Province Government and the Kailali Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has already taken steps toward establishing an Incubation Centre.
